Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) received Euro 12 million short-term loan from Citibank HA – Sofia branch. The contract has been signed by the Executive Directors of the two banks. This is the first loan that the Bulgarian bank receives from Citibank.
Citibank Bulgaria is a branch of Citibank, New York. The financial institution operates on the Bulgarian bank market since 1998. The Bank offers a wide spectrum of corporate and investment services to important Bulgarian and multinational companies, financial and state institutions.
Bulgarian Development Bank is a state-owned financial institution wit majority holder the Ministry of Finance. At the end of July this year the Bank contracted a 25 million Euro credit line with the German bank KfW. Until now BDB has attracted more than a half billion leva in credit and guarantee lines from foreign financial institutions without state guarantee.
