Leading european bankers discuss in Bulgaria the problems of small and medium size enterprises

Host of the Forum is Bulgarian Development Bank

Leading European bankers will discuss the actual problems related to the measures to promote small and medium size enterprises in the countries of the European Union. The regular autumn meeting of the Network of the European Financial Institutions for small and medium size enterprises (NEFI) will be held in the Evxinograd palace on the 9th and 10th September 2010. The host of the forum is Bulgarian Development Bank AD.

Representatives of Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (Germany), Austria Wirtschaftsservice, Finnvera (Finland), Bank for Reconstruction and Development of Croatia, Kredex (Estonia) и Société Nationale de Crédit et d’Investissement (Luxemburg) will take part in the meeting.

The representatives of the leading European banks will also discuss possible initiatives under the EC Programme “Progress”, NEFI’s participation in different international forums during the autumn, state-aid anti-crisis measures and others.

Bulgarian Development Bank is full member of NEFI since 2007. The organization was established in 1999. 15 development banks from Sweden, Austria, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Germany, Italy, Hungary, France, Luxemburg, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia and Croatia are members of the organization. In last years NEFI’s members supported and granted about EUR 54 billion as loans and guarantees to more than 313 000 small and medium enterprises in whole Europe.
