(November 17th, 2009) Dimana Rankova was elected a member of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BBD) Steering Council. She is taking the position of Dimitar Tadarakov. The other members of the SC are the Executive Directors Dimitar Dimitrov, Angel Gekov and Sasho Chakalski.
Dimana Rankova is the former vice-chairperson of the Prudential Supervision Commission. For 6 years, from 2003 to 2009, she was the head of the “Investment Activity Supervision” department. Before that, she had worked in the “State Stocks Commission” since its foundation in 1996.
Rankova also took part in the preparation of a number of legislative acts and documents, related to the Bulgarian capital market: Law on the Public Offering of Stocks, Law on the Companies with Special Investment Purpose, Law on the Measures against Market Manipulations, Law on the Financial Instruments’ Markets, Law on the Prudential Supervision Commission and others. She is the author of more than 100 publications in specialized editions.
She has graduated from the Sofia University “Sv. Kliment Ohridski" Law School. She has had practical trainings in the field of stocks and fund markets in Paris, New York, Washington, Chicago and etc.
