Encouragement bank with lower interest rates for export credits

Encouragement Bank will grant loans to companies active in the export business with minimum interest of 7.5% and with better and improved collateral requirements. Such preferences will be in force as of 16th July 2007 with a special “Export Support” program. Encouragement Bank has extended a credit line at the amount of MEUR 1.7 to Commercial Bank “Investbank” in support to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Encouragement Bank opened today in Plovdiv its first regional representation office. The Mayor of the Northern Region of Plovdiv, Ms. Daniela Zhelyazkova, Mr. Pietro Ghia – Consul of the Republic of Italy in Plovdiv, the Executive Directors of the Bank Messrs. The National Guarantee Fund (NGF) signed agreements with five commercial banks to grant portfolio guarantees for 50 millions Leva. The banks are DSK Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, FIB, MKB Unionbank and International Asset Bank.
