IIn accordance with the Statutes of the Bulgarian Development Bank, the Supervisory Board has elected a new Management Board of the bank.
The new Management Board shall continue to implement the Bank’s strategy in compliance with the Law on BDB and following the priorities for economic development of the Government, in particular with regard to SMEs, export promotion, financing of important national projects and channeling funds from international financial institutions to the real sector of the Bulgarian economy.

Assen Yagodin - Chairman of the Management Board and CEO:
Mr. Yagodin is former Executive Director and BoD member of Eurobank EFG Bulgaria. He is Deputy Chairman of the Association of Banks in Bulgaria. Since January 2010, Mr. Yagodin is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia AD. Besides his extensive more than 17 years experience in banking and finance, Mr. Yagodin holds Master’s degrees in Finance and in Business administration, and has several additional specializations in Salmon Smith Barney London, the Austrian Institute for Financial Derivatives, the Ministry of Finance in Luxembourg, etc.

Vladimir Gyulev – Vice-Chairman of the Board and Executive Director:
Mr. Gyulev has over fourteen years of banking experience in BNP Paribas and the Bulgarian-American Credit Bank. He has been as well an Executive Director and BoD member of “IMOTI DIRECT”(“Direct Properties”) REIT. Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Mr. Gyulev holds a Master’s degree from the University of National and World Economy.

Iliya Karanikolov - Member of the Board and Executive Director:
Mr. Karanikolov has banking experience at Eurobank EFG Bulgaria in attraction and management of external funding, servicing of budget organizations, and supporting the utilization of EU structural funds. Before that, as part of the Bulgarian managing authorities, he has been responsible for the financial management and control of funds from EU pre-accession/ structural funds. Mr. Karanikolov holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of National and World Economy and has postgraduate qualification – “Banks and Markets”.

Andrey Genev – Member of the Board
Mr. Genev has over 19 years experience in the Bulgarian banking system, where the main part relates to BNP-Dresdner Bank (Bulgaria) and Bulgarian-American Credit Bank. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Genev holds a Master’s degree from the University of National and World Economy.

Hristo Karamfilov - Member of the Board
Mr. Karamfilov has more than 15 years experience in the financial sector, acquired at the Sofia Stock Exchange AD, at “Elana Trading” AD, and for the last eight years as part of the team of a leading non-bank investment intermediary "BenchMark Finance” AD. He holds an investment adviser license, issued by the Financial Supervision Commission and for evaluator of companies, issued by the Privatization Agency. Mr. Karamfilov holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy.
