Commercial Banks Contracted BGN 440 Millions under the BDB Credit Lines

Credits for BGN 440 millions have contracted the commercial banks with small and medium enterprises and farmers under the Bulgarian Development Bank’s credit lines. This is evident by the data up to December 31st, 2009.

The resource received and absorbed by the commercial banks from BDB is with total amount of BGN 455 millions. 80 millions of them are targeted credit lines for funding of farmers and the rest of the resources have been granted for floating and investment funding of small and medium enterprises.

The commercial sector remains the most credited one with funds from the targeted line for small and medium enterprises investment and floating funding. The Commercial sector holds the 1st place with 30% from all granted credits. The 2nd place is shared by the Processing Industry, the Farming, Forestry and Fishery with 22% each.

Sofia is the most active region in absorbing the financial resource with 166 contracted credits. Dobrich, Varna and Plovdiv follow with 87, 84 and 81 loans. Veliko Tarnovo also enters the top five regions with 74 credits.

The average amount of the credits granted under the investment and floating funding program is BGN 549,263 and under the farmers' funding program it is BGN 138,236.

The maximum size of the investment and floating credits for SME is up to BNG 2 millions with fixed maximum interest rate of up to 8%. The farmers’ funding credit line largest loans are up to BGN 500,000 with fixed interest rate up to 7%.
